The Village of Williamsville is aware of concerns regarding spalling and pitting of concrete installed as part of previous infrastructure improvement projects in certain areas of the Village. The Village recognizes and regrets the appearance of the affected concrete.
At this time, the observed deterioration is aesthetic in nature, and Village staff continue to monitor affected areas for any signs of structural deterioration or conditions that could present a safety concern.
The Village is currently pursuing applicable warranty claims with the contractor. Similar concrete deterioration has been reported by multiple municipalities throughout the region and across New York State.
