The Village of Williamsville will advance the Main Street Sidewalk Gap Project in 2026 to improve pedestrian safety, accessibility, and connectivity by filling gaps in the sidewalk network at up to nine locations throughout the Village. The project includes new ADA‑compliant sidewalks and curb ramps, driveway apron replacements, raised and high‑visibility crosswalks, RRFB pedestrian beacons, and related signage. Construction is expected to begin in late spring/early summer 2026 and conclude in fall 2026, with efforts made to maintain driveway access and minimize traffic impacts. The project is funded through the Transportation Alternatives Program with 80% federal and 20% local funding.
